Serpentine comes in an array of color variation due to the complex combination of these minerals that create a colourful palette, unique to Zimbabwe. From black to brown, to green and orange, Serpentine is the most common stone mined and sculpted in Zimbabwe. Black serpentine has the most lustrous finish and highly sought after because of its hardness and fine finish. Fruit serpentine is one of the hardest of the serpentines and displays a powerful array of rich deep color and finishes to striking shine. Serpentine is rated from a 4.0 to a 7.0 on the Mohs hardness scale.
